Join us for Thursday November 26th at 6:30 PM for Stanley Iyanu’s the beautiful boys book tour.
Stanley will read from the collection before we open the room up for other poets to share, open mic style.
“Stanley Iyanu takes the reader on a poetic voyage in search of the beautiful boys four characters and sections: the Libertine, the Outcast, the Villain, and the Joker.
Exploring themes of mythology, memory, modern love, and loss, the beautiful boys takes a humorous look at the pitfalls of dating in a city in your 30s to losing friends to suicide to finding love in oneself and in one’s community.
the beautiful boys is a love letter to the defiant, dejected, and deeply enigmatic.”
For poets hoping to read at the event, we will take volunteers on the night.
As usual you can reserve a seat for £5 which will act as a deposit for any purchases made at the event or, for £1 more, you can order the book with your ticket at a discounted price of £6. Books will be ready to collect at the event. If cost is a barrier, send us an email and we can add you to the event list for free.
